One of an edition limited to 500 copies, this being No. 291.  [iv]  xxxv, [1] 85, [5] pp, , with 13 woodcut illustrations and further page decorations, all by Robert Ashwin Maynard and Horace Walter. Laid paper pages. Title page printed in red and black, with red initial caps and highlights throughout.  Quarter bound in black cloth over grey paper-covered boards, decorated, with gilt lettering to spine.  8vo.  Boards are worn, rubbed at ends, a little soiled, with cloth cracked on rear joint of backstrip.  Some uneven lifting on front paste down (possible damp damage - not inert) with commensurate marks on front free paste down.  Text block edges a little darkened, affect extreme edges of page faces, else internally neat. clean, bright and tight.

A fine press selection of poetry of the Welsh aristocrat metaphysical poet, Henry Vaughan (1621-1695).  Fair to good condition.
