Drawing & Design Magazine (12 Issues, May 1921 to April 1922, Nos. 13 to 24)

Twelve consecutive issues of Drawing & Design magazine from 1921-22, bound into a single volume, with additional colour plate illustrations.  pp417-848.  Illustrated throughout, with a selection of monochrome and colour plates, woodcuts, drawings etc.  With 12 additional colour plates tipped in on green mount card not included in the original magazine issue. Green cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine.  4to.  Cloth lightly worn and marked, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine base, a little torn and rubbed at spine head.  Text block edges toned.  Endpapers spotted all over.  Sone mild signs of handling to pages and the occasional smudge or small spot mark and some mild edge damage; pp433-4 has a closed tear half way across.

A delightful, now period retrospective on contemporary (1920s)  trends in design, fashion and drawing, with many illustrations and a selection of essays and short articles such as Futurism Today, Showing that the Movement Originated 440 Years BC; Stage Decoration by Oliver Bernard; and Ethel Gabain's Lithographs.  Each issue of the magazine contains a 'Modes of the Month' reviewing the latest trends in fashion and clothes design, showing beautiful 1920s dresses etc.
